AutoBase Institutional Terms of Service

Last revised: October 2026

1. Platform Scope & Purpose

AutoBase operates as a vehicle trust, identity verification, standardized physical inspection, escrow custody, transaction room, and controlled handover platform. AutoBase is not a generic bulletin board. Every transaction conducted on AutoBase is governed by our "Verify first, Transact second" infrastructure standard.

2. Mandatory Chassis VIN Requirement

No vehicle may be published on AutoBase without a valid 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). AutoBase validates VIN records to prevent duplicate listings and verify matching ownership titles.

3. VIP Placement vs. Verification Standards

VIP Dealer tiers (VIP 1, VIP 2, VIP 3) grant enhanced search visibility, dealer inventory analytics, and buyer request sourcing access. Under no circumstances does a VIP subscription replace, diminish, or influence physical inspection standards or verification requirements.

4. Escrow Custody & Settlement Protocol

Buyer funds are held in secure escrow custody upon offer acceptance. Funds are never released to the seller until: (a) physical 13-point inspection passes without unresolved material discrepancy, (b) vehicle delivery is fulfilled, and (c) buyer confirms physical receipt of vehicle and original title documents.

5. Anti-Disintermediation Policy

For user security and transaction enforceability, all buyer-seller communications, offers, and payment settlements must remain within the AutoBase infrastructure. Off-platform transactions forfeit AutoBase Escrow Protection and Inspection Warranties.
