1. How Escrow Protects the Buyer
When an offer is agreed, the buyer deposits the full vehicle price and delivery fee into AutoBase Escrow. The seller is notified that buyer funds are secured, but the seller does not receive payout at this stage. The vehicle is held exclusively for the buyer while an AutoBase Field Officer is dispatched to perform the 13-point physical audit.
2. How Escrow Protects the Seller
Sellers are protected against non-paying bidders and fraudulent bank transfers. An AutoBase inspector only conducts the pre-handover physical check once buyer funds are verified in escrow.
